Time for my little bit of bliss, my little bit of anti-cortisol, my de-stress before I get my fit on. #matcha is amazing!! It has this component called L-theanine that is helpful releasing a prominent neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid, commonly abbreviated GABA. You've heard me talk about GABA before since I believe a GABA receptor issue is what promoted my father's alcoholism. #GABA promotes the release of relaxation neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. As well I have just a splash of unsweetened coconut milk and some algae oil. It is very #bulletproof. I want to reap the benefits of burning fat for fuel during my workout, and so I have found with myself and my clients that you need the fat before your workout rather than after. Fats can slow down digestion and therefore will slow down the absorption of your post-workout meal. So for my adrenals, this is a good space to be in. I am not back to where I personally see myself getting... But I am listening to my body and getting there. #ltheanine #fitlife #timetoworkout #shredded #cortisol
